Petronet LNG Limited is an Indian energy company specializing in liquefied natural gas (LNG) import and regasification. It operates two LNG terminals: a 17.5 MMTPA facility in Dahej, Gujarat, and a 5 MMTPA facility in Kochi, Kerala. The company handles about 33% of India's gas supplies and one-third of its LNG imports. Formed as a joint venture by the Indian government, its promoters include GAIL, ONGC, IOCL, and BPCL. Petronet LNG has agreements with international suppliers like RasGas and ExxonMobil for long-term LNG supply. The company has expanded its operations over the years, including the commissioning of a second jetty at Dahej and increasing the terminal's capacity. It also provides LNG distribution services and has ventured into LNG-powered transportation. Petronet LNG has established subsidiaries in Singapore and India to further its business interests.
