
RailTel Corporation of India has received a Letter of Intent from the Director IT for a disaster recovery IT infrastructure project worth ₹52.56 crore (including tax). According to reports from Business Standard, the project includes supply, installation, integration, commissioning and five years of operations and maintenance, with execution scheduled up to January 12, 2027. The scope of work involves supply, installation, integration and commissioning of disaster recovery IT infrastructure at a MeitY empanelled CSP data centre, along with its operation and maintenance for five years. The work order was received on June 16, 2026 at 17:21, as confirmed in the regulatory filing submitted to the National Stock Exchange of India.
This latest award adds to RailTel's growing contract portfolio, as reported by CNBC TV18. In April 2026, the company received two Letters of Awards from peer company Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) Ltd*, worth ₹565 crore. The RVNL orders pertain to supply, installation, testing and commissioning (SITC) of comprehensive, integrated communication systems in railway tunnels. Additionally, RailTel secured a ₹44 crore work order from the UP Policy Recruitment and Promotional board for security-related ancillary services for recruitment exams.
RailTel Corporation reported strong financial results for the fourth quarter, with standalone performance showing even stronger growth than previously reported. According to Business Standard, the company's standalone net profit jumped 35.7% to ₹143.52 crore in Q4 FY26, compared with ₹105.78 crore in Q4 FY25. Revenue from operations rose 27.6% YoY to ₹1,668.86 crore in Q4 FY26. EBITDA rose 30% year-on-year to ₹233 crore from ₹180 crore, though EBITDA margin remained flat at 14% compared with the corresponding quarter last year.
The company has recommended a final dividend at the rate of 12.5% of paid-up share capital, amounting to ₹1.25 per share, for the financial year 2025–26, as reported by CNBC TV18. This final dividend is in addition to the interim dividends of ₹2 per share already paid by the company during the same financial year. Shares of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd ended at ₹323.95, up by ₹1.95, or 0.61%, on the BSE, as reported by Business Standard.
