JSW MG Motor India achieved its highest-ever monthly wholesale performance in July 2026, with dispatches to dealers reaching 8,158 units, representing a 22% year-on-year increase. According to reports from Business Standard, this marked the company's strongest monthly performance to date, demonstrating robust demand for the automaker's vehicle portfolio.
The company's new energy vehicles (NEV) portfolio recorded its highest-ever wholesale volumes in July 2026, contributing more than 80% of total sales. As reported by Business Standard, this significant contribution from electric and hybrid vehicles highlights the growing consumer preference for sustainable mobility solutions and JSW MG Motor India's strategic focus on the new energy segment. The electric vehicle surge was further accelerated by sharp changes in macro consumer behavior, including rising domestic fuel prices, lower long-term running costs of electric mobility, and worsening geopolitical uncertainties in West Asia driving buyers away from standard fossil fuels.
Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director of JSW MG Motor India, noted that the corporate sales framework has expanded to include initial customer deliveries of the recently introduced MG Majestor, positioning the company as an early mover in the premium D+ sports utility vehicle segment. According to Business Standard, Mehrotra emphasized that this robust retail sales performance, combined with the record wholesale figures, demonstrates the company's strategic positioning in the evolving automotive market.
JSW MG Motor India has introduced the all-new MG Hector SUV featuring a revised exterior with new front and rear bumper designs, a new grille design and new alloy wheels at prices starting ₹1.19 million (ex-showroom) for limited units. The SUV comes in two new colours – Celadon Blue and Pearl White, with interiors featuring a Dual Tone Ice Grey Theme in the 5-seater trim and Dual Tone Urban Tan for the 6 and 7-seater trims. The all-new Hector's infotainment system features a 14-inch HD portrait touch screen with Smart Boost technology and i-SWIPE Touch Gesture Control, along with a Full Digital Cluster with 17.78 cm Embedded LCD Screen and Digital Bluetooth Key functionality.
