InsuranceDekho has secured its first major cricket sponsorship deal, becoming the title sponsor for India's Test series in Sri Lanka and the co-presenting sponsor for the T20I series in Zimbabwe. According to reports from The Economic Times, the partnerships will be played as the InsuranceDekho Cup for the Sri Lanka Test series, while the Zimbabwe T20I tour will be broadcast on Zee's Unite8 Sports. The company will serve as the Co-Presenting (On-Air Broadcast) Sponsor of India's T20I tour of Zimbabwe and the Title Sponsor (On-Ground) of India's Test series against Sri Lanka, with the financial terms of these deals not disclosed.
The sponsorship aligns with InsuranceDekho's 'Bharat, Khul Kar Khelo' initiative, fronted by former India captain Sourav Ganguly. As reported by The Economic Times, the campaign reflects the company's core belief that people can pursue their ambitions more confidently with a financial safety net. The insurtech platform is focused on expanding insurance penetration through its advisor-led distribution model, particularly targeting smaller towns and rural India. Sourav Ganguly, the company's brand ambassador, emphasized the campaign's mission, stating "As a captain, I learnt that a team plays fearlessly only when it knows someone is behind it. That's exactly what InsuranceDekho does – for its advisors, for families, and now for Team India."
India's three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe will be played at Harare Sports Club from July 23-26, with the Test series against Sri Lanka beginning on August 15. According to The Economic Times, the Sri Lanka Test series will be televised on Sony Sports Network and streamed on Sony LIV, while the Zimbabwe T20I series will be broadcast on Zee's Unite8 Sports. The move forms part of the company's broader branding strategy to strengthen awareness of its "Khul Kar Khelo" philosophy by leveraging cricket's nationwide reach.
InsuranceDekho currently works with around 497,000 advisors across 98% of India's PIN codes, combining technology with a human-led advisory model to expand insurance accessibility across the country. As reported by The Economic Times, this extensive distribution network supports the company's strategy to strengthen its presence across Bharat through cricket sponsorship. The company's brand ambassador, former India captain Sourav Ganguly, reinforced the strategic importance of cricket partnerships, stating "I'm proud that Bharat, Khul Kar Khelo travels with the team on these tours."
