Used-car platform Spinny has secured the title sponsorship for the upcoming India vs Ireland T20I series, branded as the Spinny Cup. According to reports from Moneycontrol, the two-match series is scheduled for June 26 and 28, 2026, taking place at Stormont in Belfast. The sponsorship was arranged through ITW Universe, which holds the ground rights for the series and maintains an existing working relationship with Cricket Ireland. Spinny operates an online marketplace for buying and selling used cars in India and did not disclose the financial terms of the sponsorship deal.
The two-match series will be broadcast live on Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV. As reported by Moneycontrol, the sponsorship follows India's past tours to Belfast as part of efforts to grow cricket's footprint in Ireland. Paul O'Sullivan, Business Development Manager at Cricket Ireland, confirmed that the visit by India, the reigning T20 World Cup champions, was expected to draw strong interest both on and off the field. The series is scheduled within a packed 2026 international window for both cricket boards. In Ireland and UK, TNT Sports will show the matches, while Willow/Cricbuzz will broadcast in North America, South East Asia, Middle East, North Africa, and Continental Europe, with Supersport covering Sub-Saharan Africa.
India enters the series as the world's No. 1 ranked T20I team, having played 14 T20Is in 2026, winning 12 and losing 2. The team includes the uncapped 15-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, with Shreyas Iyer serving as captain. Ireland is currently ranked 12th in the ICC Men's T20 Team Rankings, having played 9 T20Is in 2026, winning 5 and losing 4. The team has called up two uncapped players for the first time – Matthew Hollard and Jai Moondra, with Lorcan Tucker named the new permanent captain of the Ireland Men's T20I squad. The teams last met at the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup in New York, with India winning all eight previous encounters between the sides.
Ireland is missing up to five frontline players due to injury: Mark Adair (stress fracture), Josh Little (stress fracture), Barry McCarthy (complete ACL tear), Jordan Neill (shoulder and foot injury), and Paul Stirling (torn calf muscle).
