Company insights, generated from the most recent coverage.
Former branch clients gain product breadth but lose parent balance-sheet depth. They inherit RBL's cash management, working capital and 628-branch retail network; in exchange, very large single-ticket exposures shed ENBD's own balance sheet. RBL's ~₹42,000 Cr capital and AAA ratings offset only part of that.
The scheme does not spell out employee provisions, and that is the sharpest integration risk. In a corporate-heavy branch transfer the relationship team is the asset — if RMs walk over pay/grade misalignment, the client relationships leave with them, not the balance sheet.
Depositors moving from an ENBD India branch into RBL shift from foreign-bank-branch treatment to the Indian subsidiary framework — different deposit insurance and depositor-protection regime. A regulatory reclassification most customers will never notice, and which no scheme clause retrieved here addresses.
