
RBL Bank Ltd. delivered robust growth across key financial metrics for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. According to provisional business figures released by the lender on Monday, gross advances increased 40% year-on-year and 22% quarter-on-quarter to ₹1,43,350 crore, compared with ₹1,02,330 crore in the year-ago period and ₹1,17,320 crore in the previous quarter. Total deposits rose 34% year-on-year and 25% sequentially to ₹1,56,280 crore, up from ₹1,16,670 crore a year earlier and ₹1,24,830 crore at the end of June 2026. The advances grew 30% year-on-year and 13% sequentially when excluding loans provided by the bank's international banking unit against FCNR(B) deposits, demonstrating strong underlying business momentum.
The bank's advance growth was primarily driven by strong performance in secured retail and wholesale segments. As reported by Business Standard, secured retail advances recorded a 51% year-on-year and 42% quarter-on-quarter increase, including loans extended by the international banking unit against FCNR(B) deposits. Wholesale advances grew 55% year-on-year and 21% sequentially. The retail-to-wholesale advances mix stood at 56:44 at the end of the quarter, indicating a balanced portfolio approach. This diversified growth strategy across both retail and wholesale segments contributed to the overall strong advance performance.
The bank's CASA (Current Account Savings Account) deposits showed steady growth, rising 14% year-on-year and 17% quarter-on-quarter to ₹42,530 crore, compared with ₹37,170 crore a year earlier and ₹36,470 crore at the end of June. However, the CASA ratio declined to 27.2% from 31.9% a year ago and 29.2% in the previous quarter, indicating a shift in deposit composition. The bank's liquidity coverage ratio improved to 148% from 127% a year earlier, while it stood at 133% at the end of June 2026, demonstrating enhanced liquidity management capabilities.
