Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT) has announced an enhanced partnership with Databricks to help enterprises modernize data infrastructure and scale AI deployments. According to the latest press release, this collaboration represents a significant step in the company's AI strategy and service offerings to clients seeking enterprise-scale AI solutions. The partnership was officially announced on July 27, 2026, with both companies emphasizing their shared commitment to helping enterprises move from AI experimentation to measurable value. This structural realignment signals Wipro's intent to consolidate its AI offerings under a specialized framework, positioning the company to respond effectively to growing client demand for secure, resilient, and intelligent enterprise solutions.
As part of the enhanced partnership, Wipro has established a self-contained Databricks business practice focused on delivering industry-specific AI solutions. The newly incubated business practice brings together platform specialists, consulting experts, and industry teams to co-create solutions that accelerate enterprise AI adoption. This dedicated organizational unit will deliver business value through industry-specific offerings, helping clients move from fragmented data foundations and isolated AI pilots to governed, enterprise-scale AI implementations. The practice is built on more than 300 agentic AI and data use cases already delivered across banking and financial services, healthcare, telecom, manufacturing and energy sectors. According to Kori O'Brien, Senior Vice President, Partnerships at Databricks, this global practice will enable enterprises to build trusted data foundations and deploy production-ready AI at scale, turning data intelligence into real, measurable business impact. Wipro has also been recognized by Databricks as the 2025 Banking Partner of the Year and the 2026 Innovation Partner of the Year.
The collaboration will integrate Databricks' capabilities for agentic AI, data modernization, application development, and analytics with Wipro Intelligence, the suite of AI powered platforms, solutions, and transformative offerings. A key component of this integration is the use of WEGA, Wipro's agent-native delivery platform, which enables enterprises to transition from legacy systems to scalable, AI-ready data architectures. Additionally, the practice utilizes Databricks Genie, an AI coworker that allows business and technical users to interact with enterprise data using natural language. As noted by Kanwar Singh, Managing Partner – Technology Services at Wipro, the business practice will bring together platform specialists, consulting expertise, and industry teams to co-create solutions that accelerate data transformation and enterprise-wide AI adoption.
Across industries, Wipro's dedicated Databricks business practice will build context-aware, AI-led solutions to address core business challenges. In the banking and financial services sector, the practice will focus on end-to-end wealth management, portfolio performance optimization and enhancing client experience. For manufacturing and consumer goods companies, the practice will develop solutions to improve planning resilience amid volatility in the global macroeconomic environment. In the telecommunications sector, it will drive sales and marketing transformation through agentic artificial intelligence. The practice will also develop solutions to improve asset visibility and performance for energy and other large-asset industries, and offer agentic AI-led Chief Financial Officer (CFO) transformation by reimagining Financial Planning and Analysis processes to support cost optimization and improve efficiency. Shares of Wipro Ltd ended at ₹178.50, up by ₹1.35, or 0.76%, on the BSE following the announcement. Recent market developments show Wipro's stock gained 2.27% to ₹187.77 in Thursday's early trading session, contrasting with the prevailing bearish sentiment noted by Moneycontrol analysis.

The company's net profit for Q1 FY27 stood at ₹3,356.3 crore, a marginal increase of 0.6% YoY. Large deal bookings for the quarter jumped 12.9% sequentially to reach $1.63 billion, demonstrating robust market demand for AI-enabled solutions. Revenue guidance for Q2 FY27 is projected in the range of $2.57 billion to $2.63 billion. Through the newly established practice, Wipro and Databricks will enable joint clients to become intelligent enterprises that are secure by design, resilient by default, and prepared for the next wave of reinvention.
