Wipro and Rubrik, the Security and AI Operations company, have announced the launch of Enterprise Resilience as a Service (ERaaS). According to reports from Business Standard, this consulting-led, outcome-driven service was announced on August 5, 2026, specifically designed to help enterprises prevent, withstand, and rapidly recover from cyber and operational disruptions. The partnership addresses the critical need for continuous resilience as enterprises accelerate AI adoption and operate in increasingly complex digital environments. Rubrik, a NYSE-listed cybersecurity and AI operations company, operates at the intersection of data protection, cyber resilience and enterprise AI acceleration. "Together with Wipro, we are helping customers operationalize cyber recovery as a core part of a broader enterprise resilience strategy," said Alok Agrawal, Chief Solutions Officer, Rubrik. "Moments of disruption are inevitable, which is why this joint offering is critical for safe, confident, agile recovery." The companies are positioning the service as a consulting-led offering rather than a standalone software product, suggesting Wipro is seeking to tie cyber recovery more closely to broader transformation and risk programmes while Rubrik extends its reach into larger enterprise accounts through service partners.
As reported by Business Standard, ERaaS enables organizations to move beyond the traditional backup and disaster recovery model by operating as a continuously managed, enterprise-wide capability across technology, operations, and business processes. The service will enable continuous assessment of resilience posture, support recovery decisions, and automate recovery workflows. The new offering transforms resilience from a periodic, incident-triggered function to a predictive, self-optimizing capability that evolves continuously. "Where most resilience engagements start with technology, Wipro's starts with the business use cases, and that distinction is what makes ERaaS stand out," said Satish Yadavalli, Global Business Head – Cloud, Infrastructure, and Security Services, Wipro Limited. "Together with Rubrik's Zero Trust recovery capabilities, ERaaS will identify critical systems, map impact tolerances, and quickly establish recovery priorities. Leveraging our consulting capabilities, we will work closely with clients to translate these insights into resilience-by-design architectures, governance frameworks, and recovery playbooks."
According to Business Standard, the ERaaS platform is built on Rubrik's unified cyber and data resilience platform, offering advanced capabilities such as immutable protection, rollback of AI-driven changes, rapid identification of clean recovery points and threat-aware recovery. The platform also supports the protection of critical identity systems, enabling organizations to recover data, infrastructure and identities with greater confidence while minimising downtime and business risk. "The AI capabilities will be operationalized through Wipro's AI-powered delivery platform WINGS," which is part of Wipro Intelligence, the suite of AI-powered platforms, solutions, and transformative offerings. This integration leverages Wipro's established AI infrastructure to enhance the resilience service capabilities and provide enterprises with advanced predictive and automated resilience management. The service is aimed at firms seeking faster recovery from cyber attacks and AI-related outages, with business continuity built in, as organizations adopt more artificial intelligence tools, adding new operational and governance risks to existing cyber security concerns.
Wipro reported gross revenue of ₹24,478.60 crore in Q1 FY27, representing a 10.59% year-on-year increase from ₹22,134.60 crore in the same period last year. However, Profit After Tax declined 4.69% to ₹3,356.30 crore for Q1 FY27, compared with ₹3,521.6 crore posted in Q4 FY26. The Total Contract Value of large deals secured by Wipro during Q1 FY27 stood at $1.6 billion, growing 12.9% quarter-on-quarter in constant currency. The IT services operating margin contracted to 16% in Q1 FY27, down from 17.3% in Q4 FY26, representing a sequential decline of 130 basis points due to wage hikes and continued investments in artificial intelligence and strategic acquisitions. The ERaaS launch represents a strategic move to secure high-margin managed service contracts and improve Wipro's competitive positioning in the cyber resilience market, coming as organizations adopt more artificial intelligence tools and face new operational and governance risks. The counter shed 0.51% to settle at ₹186.05 on Wednesday, 5 August 2026 following the announcement.
