As reported by Zapkey, the residence features interiors designed by Gauri Khan and was located in the Vaastu Building in Pali Hill before the actor moved into the Kapoor family's newly renovated Krishna Raj bungalow. The Vaastu apartment holds special significance in Ranbir Kapoor's personal life as well, as it was among the actor's prominent Mumbai residences before he and Alia Bhatt moved into the renovated Krishna Raj bungalow. Notably, the house holds significant sentimental value for RK, as this is where he married his longtime girlfriend Alia Bhatt on April 14 on the balcony of their home, in an intimate wedding with only family members and close friends in attendance.
The actor and his wife Alia Bhatt have now relocated to the Krishna Raj bungalow, the Kapoor family's ancestral property in Mumbai that underwent renovation for several years before completion in 2025. According to reports, the bungalow is valued at nearly ₹250 crore and is considered one of Mumbai's most expensive celebrity residences alongside Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat and Amitabh Bachchan's Jalsa. The property, originally constructed nearly 80 years ago, was inherited by Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in 1980, with a special memorial room created for Rishi Kapoor after his death in 2020. The six-storey bungalow is co-owned by Ranbir's mother, Neetu Kapoor, and holds significant sentimental value for the Kapoor family.
Beyond Mumbai, Ranbir Kapoor has expanded his property portfolio to Ayodhya, where he recently purchased a 2,134 sq. ft. land parcel worth approximately ₹3.31 crore at The Sarayu, a premium development project by The House of Abhinandan Lodha. As reported by Zapkey, the 75-acre project along the Sarayu River is expected to include over 35 lifestyle amenities, a clubhouse and a luxury vegetarian hotel operated by The Leela. On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor is set to play Lord Rama in Ramayana, one of the most ambitious upcoming Indian films. The two-part project is reportedly being made on a massive budget of ₹4,000 crore, with the film also starring Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.
