The ex-dividend date marks the first day a stock trades without the right to receive the declared dividend, while the record date is when companies check shareholder records to determine eligibility. According to SEBI's T+1 settlement cycle, investors must buy a company's shares at least one trading day before the record date to ensure shares are credited to their demat accounts in time and become eligible for the corporate action.
Jio Financial Services has fixed August 10 as the record date for its final dividend of ₹0.60 per share for the financial year which ended on March 31, 2026. As reported by The Economic Times, this comes after the company paid a dividend of ₹0.5 per share to its shareholders last year. Indus Towers has declared ₹14 per share for the year ended March 2026, with a face value of ₹10 each, fully paid up. The company offers an approximately 3.6% dividend yield, among the higher dividend yields in India's large-cap infrastructure universe. Majestic Auto accounts for the highest dividend payout among all stocks turning ex-record date on Monday, as the company aims to pay a dividend of ₹25 per share to its shareholders. PTC India and Styrenix Performance Materials will each pay a ₹23 dividend, while West Coast Paper Mills will turn ex-record date for a dividend of ₹3 per share, and RITES will pay a dividend of ₹1.40 per share.
Around 15 companies are set to turn ex-dividend on Tuesday, including Godfrey Phillips India which will pay a final dividend of ₹33 per share for the financial year. Gland Pharma shares will turn ex-record date for its dividend of ₹20 per share. Kirloskar Industries and Ratnamani Metals & Tubes will pay a ₹13 and ₹10 dividend, respectively. Castrol India will turn ex-record date for an interim dividend of ₹6.25 per share, while Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals will pay a final dividend of ₹6 per share. Neelamalai Agro Industries and Narmada Gelatines will pay a ₹20 and ₹11 dividend, respectively. Voith Paper Fabrics India will turn ex-record date for a dividend of ₹10 per share, while Uniparts India will pay an interim dividend of ₹9 per share. Kalyani Investment Company will turn ex-record date for a dividend of ₹10 per share, while Kotyark Industries will pay a final dividend of ₹5 per share. Other companies include Astral (₹2.50 per share), Ganesh Consumer Products (₹2.50 per share), NCC (₹2.20 per share), and REC (₹1.55 per share).
