According to The Economic Times, Bajaj Finance is projecting a remarkable 29% increase in net profit for the July-September quarter, driven by robust loan demand and a boost in interest income. The non-banking financial company is expected to report a net profit of around ₹6,383 crore for the September quarter, compared with ₹4,948 crore in the corresponding period last year, based on an average of estimates from five brokerages. This strong performance is supported by significant growth in assets under management and higher interest income.
According to reports from Live Mint, Bajaj Finance has set Monday, October 19, 2026 as the date for announcing its Q2 results 2026. The NBFC company declared this through an exchange filing, stating that the board meeting will be held to consider and approve unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2026. The results announcement will be followed by a guidance call at 6:00 PM IST on the same day.
As reported by The Economic Times, Bajaj Finance has demonstrated exceptional growth with AUM increasing 26.5% year-on-year to approximately ₹5.85 lakh crore as of September 30, 2026, compared with ₹4.62 lakh crore a year earlier. The company added around ₹37,800 crore to its loan book during the quarter. The customer base expanded significantly to 12.89 crore from 11.06 crore a year earlier, while new loans booked rose 11% to 1.35 crore. This robust growth reflects continued strong demand across the company's lending businesses and successful diversification into newer segments.
According to The Economic Times, net interest income (NII) is expected to grow 24% YoY to ₹13,373 crore from ₹10,785 crore a year earlier, driven by the expanding loan portfolio. However, analysts expect some moderation in lending margins as borrowing costs remain elevated. Motilal Oswal expects Bajaj Finance's net interest margin to decline by around 10 basis points sequentially to approximately 9.4%. The brokerage noted that management's commentary on the future trajectory of margins and credit costs would be among the key factors to watch when the company announces its results.
As reported by The Economic Times, analysts see credit costs to remain broadly stable during the September quarter, with Motilal Oswal expecting credit costs to remain steady sequentially at approximately 1.55%. Nomura sees a modest improvement, projecting a seven-basis-point sequential moderation in credit costs. The relatively stable credit-cost expectations suggest that analysts anticipate continued growth in lending without substantial deterioration in asset quality. Market expectations from the Q2 results 2026 include significant growth in key metrics, with Mahesh M Ojjha, VP — Research and Business Development, expecting the company's AUM to grow from 25% to 28%.
