
HDFC Asset Management Company has appointed Ihab Dalwai as Senior Member – Investments (Equity). According to reports from The Hindu BusinessLine, he will be redesignated as Senior Fund Manager – Equities from September 11, 2026. This appointment brings significant experience to HDFC AMC's equity management team.
Dalwai brings 15 years of experience in equity research and fund management to his new role. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, he joins HDFC AMC from ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company, where he most recently served as Senior Fund Manager – Equity. He holds qualifications as a Chartered Accountant and has also cleared CFA Level 3, providing strong technical and professional credentials for his new position.
According to the appointment announcement, Dalwai will be responsible for managing the equity assets of select HDFC Mutual Fund schemes. These include the HDFC Balanced Advantage Fund, HDFC Diversified Equity All Cap Active FOF, HDFC Multi Asset Allocation Fund, HDFC Multi-Asset Active FOF, and HDFC Aggressive Hybrid Fund. This comprehensive portfolio spans multiple asset classes and investment strategies within the equity segment.
