The National Stock Exchange (NSE) is preparing to submit its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) for its Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the first half of June. According to reports from The Economic Times, discussions between the exchange and its lead bankers have confirmed plans to file the papers with Sebi early next month. The exchange and lead bankers to the issue recently held discussions and agreed to proceed with the filing with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) early next month.
As reported by The Economic Times, work has actively started for the DRHP filing, and NSE may look to file papers between June 5th and 15th. The filing window represents a specific two-week period during which the exchange plans to submit its IPO documentation to the regulatory authority. NSE did not comment on the matter regarding the specific timeline for the filing.
The IPO filing comes as part of the exchange's broader public offering process, with the exchange actively working on the documentation required for regulatory approval. According to sources familiar with the development, the exchange is moving forward with its public listing plans through the established regulatory framework. The timing of the filing window indicates the exchange's commitment to completing the necessary procedural steps for its public offering.
The NSE filing comes as part of a broader wave of IPO approvals from SEBI. On May 18, 2026, SEBI approved the Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) of two mainboard IPOs, Deepa Jewellers and Cotec Healthcare, demonstrating active regulatory clearance for public offerings. Both companies plan to list their equity shares on the BSE and the NSE, with detailed IPO schedules including anchor investor bidding dates and public issue opening and closing dates yet to be announced.
