
Rajasthan has emerged as a leading exporting state, with exports exceeding ₹1 trillion in 2025-26, according to Shikhar Agarwal, additional chief secretary, Department of Industries and Commerce. The textile and allied sectors contributed significantly to this performance, generating over ₹13,700 crore in exports. As reported by Business Standard, the textile sector constitutes a key pillar of the state's exports, prompting the formation of a dedicated task force to enhance investment, production, and exports in this sector.
The state has established task forces across multiple sectors to capitalize on emerging opportunities. According to the official statement, special emphasis will be placed on taking Rajasthan's handicrafts to new markets as they enjoy a unique global identity. Additionally, a task force has been constituted for the agro, food, and milk processing sectors to minimise post-harvest losses, ensure better prices for farmers, and promote food processing. These initiatives aim to leverage the state's strengths in agriculture and milk production while addressing key sectoral challenges.
The logistics sector presents significant growth opportunities alongside the expansion of industrial corridors, expressways, and other infrastructure in the state. As reported by Business Standard, a task force has been established to accelerate investment and infrastructure development in the logistics sector. This development aligns with the state's industrial expansion and connectivity improvements, creating new investment avenues for the logistics industry.
Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) has demonstrated remarkable growth in industrial plot allotments during Q1FY27. According to RIICO officials, 1,038 industrial plots were allotted (including offer letters) during April-June quarter of FY26-27, compared with 214 plots allotted during the same period in FY26. This represents a five-fold increase in plot allotments, indicating accelerated industrial development momentum.
The financial commitment to industrial development has shown substantial growth. As reported by Business Standard, RIICO allotted land worth around ₹1,364 crore to entrepreneurs in Q1FY27, compared with ₹584 crore reported in Q1FY26. This represents a 140% increase in land allocation value, demonstrating the state's commitment to attracting and supporting industrial investment. The task forces are expected to ensure speedy implementation of investment proposals, better inter-departmental coordination, and regular project monitoring to further boost these investment trends.
