Indian Railways announced on Monday the approval of additional stoppages for four trains at key stations in Haryana and Rajasthan. According to reports from Zee News, this decision aims to improve passenger convenience and strengthen regional rail connectivity across these states. The newly approved halts are expected to make travel easier for thousands of passengers who rely on rail services for education, work, business and daily commuting, following a detailed review of passenger demand and operational feasibility.
The newly approved stoppages include the Delhi–Satrod Passenger at Patuwas Meharana station, the Agartala–Ferozpur Express and Bikaner–Haridwar Express at Hansi station in Haryana, and the Jaipur–Asarva Express at Bijainagar station in Rajasthan. As reported by Zee News, railway officials stated the decision was taken after examining passenger demand and assessing operational feasibility. The Agartala–Ferozpur Express and Bikaner–Haridwar Express previously stopped at Hisar and Bhiwani City, requiring passengers from Hansi to travel considerable distances before beginning their journeys.
On the Rewari–Bhiwani section, Patuwas Meharana station will now receive stoppage of the 54085/54086 Delhi–Satrod Passenger service. According to Zee News, the station is currently served by a limited number of trains, and residents had to depend on nearby stations such as Jharili and Charkhi Dadri, located several kilometres away. The additional halt is expected to provide a more convenient travel option for local residents who previously had to travel to nearby stations to board this train. The change is particularly important for students, office workers and daily commuters who depend on affordable rail transport, with easier access to train services also expected to improve connectivity between rural communities and larger towns in the region.
Hansi station, a major rail hub on the Bhiwani–Hisar route, has received two additional long-distance train stoppages for the Agartala–Ferozpur Express and the Bikaner–Haridwar Express. As reported by Zee News, the new halts will give travellers direct access to destinations across northern, eastern and western India while expanding travel choices from the station. The trains previously stopped at Hisar and Bhiwani City, requiring passengers from Hansi to travel considerable distances before beginning their journeys. The new stoppages are expected to save travel time and provide more convenient travel options for residents of the region.
In Rajasthan, passengers at Bijainagar station will benefit from the newly approved stoppage of the 12981/12982 Jaipur–Asarva Express. According to Zee News, the station is situated on the important Ajmer–Chanderiya railway section and already handles a substantial number of train services, serving as a key transport point for the surrounding region. The train previously halted at Nasirabad and Bhilwara, requiring passengers from Bijainagar to travel dozens of kilometres away to access the service. The new halt is expected to support business activity, educational travel and regional trade by providing a direct connection through one of the route's important inter-state trains, particularly benefiting passengers travelling between Rajasthan and Gujarat.
