RVNL shares opened at ₹249 and gained nearly 2% to hit an intraday high of ₹250.90 after the opening bell on Monday, June 22. The railway PSU stock has gained nearly 4% in one week. Texmaco Rail shares opened at ₹112.04 and rose to an intraday high of ₹114.90 in early trade, with the stock rallying 8% in one week. RVNL has secured a significant ₹2,977 crore order from NMDC for setting up buffer stockpiles and a blending yard with a handling capacity of 10 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) at Visakhapatnam. This contract further strengthens RVNL's robust order book of ₹99,292 crore as of the end of FY26. Meanwhile, Texmaco Rail & Engineering has secured orders worth ₹253.3 crore from JSW (South) Rail Logistics for the manufacture and supply of railway rakes and wagons, along with a separate ₹11.5 crore contract from Odisha Power Transmission Corporation for constructing a second-circuit SC line on a DC tower on a turnkey basis. The latest wins add to Texmaco's order book, which stood at ₹5,408 crore at the end of FY26.
Indian equity benchmarks resumed gains after a blip in Friday's trade, with the NSE Nifty 50 rising 0.5% to 24,133.70 and the BSE Sensex gaining 0.6%, or 421 points, to 77,223.78 in early trade on Monday. The positive market sentiment reflects broader investor confidence in infrastructure and railway sector companies. The railway-linked companies' strong order wins have contributed to this positive momentum, with both RVNL and Texmaco Rail demonstrating robust execution capabilities and strategic positioning in the expanding railway infrastructure market.
The latest order wins reinforce both companies' strategic focus on expanding beyond traditional railway operations. Texmaco's orders reinforce the company's strategy of expanding its presence beyond Indian Railways and increasing the share of non-railway and private-sector business. The diversification into private sector and non-railway projects demonstrates the company's ability to adapt to changing market dynamics and capture opportunities across multiple sectors. This strategic pivot positions Texmaco for sustainable growth beyond traditional railway infrastructure projects.
