
Bai-Kakaji Polymers shares surged 20% to hit the upper circuit on Thursday, marking their biggest single-day gain and the highest level since the company's stock market debut in December 2025. According to reports from CNBC TV18, the stock settled at ₹240 apiece after touching an intraday low of ₹198, giving the company a market capitalisation of about ₹514 crore. Trading activity surged alongside the rally, with 13.13 lakh shares changing hands on Thursday, compared with the 20-day average daily volume of nearly one lakh shares.
The rally followed a bulk deal in which Sunil Singhania-backed Abakkus Venture Opportunities Fund acquired 6.08 lakh shares, or about 2.8% of the company's equity, at an average price of ₹200.34 apiece on the BSE. As reported by CNBC TV18, on the other side of the transaction, investor Sanjay Popatlal Jain sold 3.42 lakh shares, representing about 1.6% of the company's outstanding equity, for approximately ₹6.8 crore. Jain had held a 2.5% stake in the company as of June 2026, while Tiger Strategies Fund also pared its holding, selling 1.08 lakh shares worth around ₹2.2 crore.
For FY26, Bai-Kakaji Polymers reported a 47% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹27 crore, while revenue rose 12.1% to ₹365 crore. According to CNBC TV18, the company made its market debut on December 30, 2025, with an issue price of ₹186 per share. Prior to Thursday's rally, its biggest single-day gain since listing was around 10%, recorded in June 2026. The stock has risen 28% so far in 2026, outperforming the BSE 250 Microcap Index, which has gained about 9% during the same period.
Bai-Kakaji Polymers manufactures plastic packaging products, including polyethylene terephthalate (PET) preforms, plastic caps and closures, serving industries such as packaged drinking water, carbonated beverages, juices and dairy. As reported by CNBC TV18, the company traces its origins to Bai Kakaji Polymers Pvt. Ltd., established in Latur, Maharashtra, in 2013 as part of the Bai Kakaji Group. Founded in 2000, the group has grown from a single manufacturing unit into a nationwide packaging solutions provider.
