The Adani Group has achieved a significant milestone with ₹2.6 trillion worth of energy and infrastructure projects either completed or under execution in Maharashtra, as announced by Pranav Adani, director of Adani Enterprises. Speaking at the launch of the 'Invest Maharashtra' event in Mumbai, Adani revealed that these projects form part of the group's larger ₹6 trillion investment blueprint spanning critical sectors including energy, aviation, urban regeneration, data centres and coal gasification. The group has committed to this investment blueprint through partnerships at the World Economic Forum in Davos and state collaborations.
The Adani Group is managing the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) and delivering the greenfield Navi Mumbai International Airport, designed to handle more than 90 million passengers annually. According to Adani's announcement, the group is developing integrated airport business and hospitality districts surrounding these twin aviation gateways to redefine urban mobility and commerce. This aviation infrastructure development complements the group's broader transportation and logistics portfolio across multiple states.
Through Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML), the group is supplying power to more than 3 million homes and establishments across Mumbai, with more than 60% of power coming from renewable energy sources. As highlighted by Adani, the group's 1,000 Megawatt High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission link brings resilient, clean green power directly into Mumbai's financial core to insulate it from outages. The company is also developing pumped-storage hydro initiatives across the state to guarantee 24x7 green baseload power.
The West Bengal government has allocated 580 acres of land for 33 industrial projects involving an estimated investment of ₹60,000 crore and the potential to create nearly 62,000 jobs. According to reports from Upstox, this development comes as part of the state's broader industrialisation strategy unveiled in June 2026. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has indicated that the government is in talks with large companies, including Reliance Industries, for investments across multiple sectors in the state.
Shares of companies operating in defence, renewable energy, shipbuilding, infrastructure and manufacturing sectors are likely to be in focus. As reported by Upstox, Jupiter Wagons could see attention after its subsidiary was allotted approximately 256 acres of land in Purulia, West Bengal, for an integrated defence manufacturing facility. Additionally, Tech Mahindra, HCLTech and Tata Communications could benefit from West Bengal's push to attract global capability centres and AI-oriented data centres, with the state's FY27 Budget proposing dedicated GCC policy and incentives.
Under the proposed model, industry associations and chambers of commerce will be allowed to develop and manage industrial parks on land provided by the state government, with the government acting as a facilitator. According to Upstox, the state is preparing a new industrial land policy that will provide for land pooling, direct purchase of land and a single-window system to simplify project setup processes. The government has also introduced a ₹5,000 crore investment promotion framework and launched a Global Capability Centre policy to attract multinational firms.
