Tata Motors has officially delayed the launch of the Sierra EV to Q2 2026, marking a significant shift from the previously announced July 15, 2025 delivery timeline. The Sierra EV was originally scheduled to be launched at a starting price of ₹18.79 lakh, offering 63kWh and 75kWh battery options with deliveries beginning July 15. The latest development pushes the launch timeline to the second quarter of 2026, providing potential buyers with additional time to evaluate this premium electric SUV offering.
The Sierra EV offers impressive driving range capabilities with 665km for 75kWh RWD variants, 624km for AWD variants, and 535km for 63kWh versions. Tata claims a range top-up of up to 263km in 15 minutes when using a 120kW DC fast charger, with a 20-80 percent charge taking around 26 minutes. For charging convenience, 7.2kW AC charging times are 8.9 hours for 63kWh battery and 10.5 hours for 75kWh units.
