Enterprise AI software company Pegasystems has inaugurated its new office in Bengaluru with an investment of ₹60 crore, marking its most significant expansion in India as part of its technology innovation, engineering excellence and client management strategy. According to reports from Business Standard, the new Bengaluru office is 1.5 times the size of the existing facility and can accommodate 350 people. This expansion represents a significant scaling of the company's Indian operations from its initial 2012 establishment, with the new office expanding the company's footprint in the city by approximately 60%. The workspace includes more than 350 seats, over 35 meeting and conference rooms, collaborative workspaces and technology-enabled meeting facilities designed to support hybrid working and cross-functional engineering teams.
The new Bengaluru office further reinforces the city's role as a strategic anchor within Pega's global operations, serving as a centre of engineering excellence and a key destination for client engagement and business development across Asia-Pacific and beyond. As reported by Business Standard, the Nasdaq-listed company opened its first office in Bengaluru in 2012 in a 55,000-sq-ft space that delivers research and development (R&D), engineering services, industry solutions and customer support. The Bengaluru Executive Briefing Center (EBC) is designed to offer clients a premier destination to experience Pega's innovation first-hand and deepen partnerships that are critical to shared success, hosting executive meetings, solution showcases, product roadmap discussions, advisory sessions and partner collaborations.
Alan Trefler, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Pega, emphasized India's central role in the company's global growth strategy. According to Business Standard, Trefler stated that "India is central to Pega's global growth strategy, and this expansion reflects the confidence we have in the talent and capabilities here." Speaking at the inauguration, Trefler said the new Executive Briefing Center is intended to strengthen collaboration with enterprise customers. Deepak Visweswaraiah, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Pega India, noted that the facility would support both engineering operations and customer engagement by providing an environment for product demonstrations, executive workshops and strategic discussions. The expansion reflects a wider trend among global enterprise software vendors investing in innovation centres and customer experience facilities in India.
Priyank Kharge, Karnataka's minister for home, information technology and biotechnology, and e-governance, welcomed the expanded presence. As reported by Business Standard, Kharge stated that "Karnataka warmly welcomes Pegasystems' expanded presence in Bengaluru." He described the investment as a strong endorsement of the state's position as a global technology hub and reflected confidence that leading enterprises place in Karnataka's talent and ecosystem. The workspace includes modern, technology-enabled infrastructure such as advanced audio-visual (AV)-equipped meeting rooms, flexible seating zones, open collaboration areas, and dedicated recreational and wellness spaces, including a mother's room. The office is located within a campus offering access to a food court, gym, childcare facilities and strong public transport connectivity, with upcoming metro access.
