Total income for the quarter stood at ₹50,410.58 crore compared with ₹51,085.05 crore a year earlier, while total expenses declined to ₹43,237.90 crore from ₹43,390.76 crore. The divergent trend of decreasing revenue but increasing net profit can partly be attributed to a significant tax benefit, with the company reporting a negative tax figure of ₹9,062 crore in March 2026, compared to a positive tax contribution of ₹2,725 crore in March 2025.
