
NBCC (India) shares rose 1.22% to ₹96 following the announcement of new construction orders worth approximately ₹801.20 crore. According to reports from CNBC TV18, the state-owned construction company's stock gained on the back of these significant contract wins, with shares closing at ₹96 apiece for the day.
The company secured a ₹20.82 crore order from the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) for construction of hostels under the DA JGUA Scheme across various districts in Odisha. Additionally, NBCC bagged a project management consultancy (PMC) contract worth approximately ₹780.38 crore from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). As reported by CNBC TV18, the RBI project involves construction of an RBI office complex at Nelapadu, Amaravati, and officers' and staff residential complexes at Inavolu, Amaravati, in Andhra Pradesh. The larger order includes consultancy to construct an RBI office complex at Nelapadu and residential facilities for its officers and staff at Inavolu in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh.
This marks the third order the company has secured within a span of about two weeks, demonstrating strong business momentum. According to CNBC TV18, before these latest wins, on July 24, NBCC (India) announced winning two orders worth roughly ₹108.85 crore (excluding Goods and Services Tax). These included an order from the Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Odisha, Cuttack, valued at around ₹88.43 crore. The execution timelines for both the latest orders were not disclosed.
The company has also secured an agreement to execute a $75 million (around ₹650 crore) affordable housing project for the Government of Seychelles, signed on July 29. As reported by CNBC TV18, this includes building 1,008 affordable housing units at Île Aurore in Seychelles. This international project adds to NBCC's diversified portfolio across multiple geographical markets.
