MIC Electronics has secured a ₹3.78 crore order from the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board for the design, supply, installation, and maintenance of lab furniture for the Central Environmental Laboratory in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar, Raipur. According to the company's regulatory filing, the project is scheduled for completion within 12 months and was secured through the tender route. The scope of the project includes end-to-end execution, covering planning, procurement, installation, and commissioning of modern lab infrastructure. The company clarified that neither the promoter nor any promoter group companies have any interest in the entity that awarded the order, and it does not constitute a related-party transaction. As part of the assignment, MIC Electronics will deliver end-to-end turnkey solutions covering design, supply, installation, and related support services in line with CECB's specifications. Additionally, the company will provide post-warranty upkeep through a three-year Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) worth ₹60 lakh, ensuring the laboratory equipment and infrastructure remain efficient and fully operational over time.
Despite the new contract win, MIC Electronics reported a consolidated net loss of ₹18.35 crore in Q4 2026. However, the company's operational performance showed significant improvement during the period. Revenue rose 13.3% year-on-year to ₹51 crore, compared with ₹45 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. EBITDA jumped 60.6% to ₹13 crore from ₹8 crore, reflecting better execution and improved cost efficiencies. EBITDA margins expanded by 772 basis points to 26.2%, up from 18.5% in the year-ago quarter. The net loss was primarily due to a one-time, non-cash deferred tax adjustment that does not impact core operations, which include LED products, medical equipment, automobile components, and electronics trading.
In mid-April, the company received another Letter of Acceptance from the Signal and Telecommunication Department of the Nagpur Division under the Central Railway zone for the provision, installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom assets and passenger facilities, including IPIS, at Wardha station. The contract was estimated at around ₹1.12 crore and is scheduled for completion within six months. These recent order wins have contributed to the company's improved operational performance and investor interest.
