Capacite Infraprojects has secured a significant contract through receiving a confirmed work order worth ₹741 crore from Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited for core and shell construction in Mumbai. According to reports from CNBC TV18, the contract involves construction of core and shell work for Mahindra Rainforest at Kanjurmarg and Mahindra Beacon Hill at Mahalaxmi. This development represents a major milestone for the company's expansion in the premium real estate segment, with the order received in the normal course of business as part of ordinary civil contracting operations.
The ₹741 crore order represents approximately 110% of the company's average quarterly revenue of ₹672.30 crore, demonstrating the substantial scale of this contract. When added to previous wins, the total disclosed order book now stands at ₹1,660 crore, providing 2.47 quarters of revenue coverage based on recent averages. The company has demonstrated strong financial health with revenue growing consistently from ₹1,353 crore in FY22 to ₹2,643.60 crore in FY26, representing a YoY growth of 9.8%. Financial metrics remain robust with a current ratio of 1.65x and positive operating cashflows of ₹223.30 crore in FY26, indicating adequate short-term liquidity and effective revenue conversion.
Rahul Katyal, Managing Director of Capacit'e Infraprojects, expressed enthusiasm about the new client relationship, stating that the company is privileged to welcome Mahindra Lifespace Developers as their newest client. As reported by CNBC TV18, Katyal believes this engagement validates the company's engineering expertise, project management capabilities and track record of executing complex projects at scale. The partnership is expected to bolster the company's portfolio visibility among industry leaders and significantly contribute to long-term shareholder value, with the company aiming to utilise this opportunity to further enhance its standing as a preferred execution partner for premium real estate developers.
Shares of Capacit'e Infraprojects went down more than 1% following the announcement, trading at ₹225.04 as of 11:44 am on Thursday, August 27. Historical stock performance shows the stock has fallen more than 12% so far this year and 22% over the last 12 months, reflecting broader market sentiment despite the positive project news. The market reaction suggests investors may be focusing on the company's recent financial performance rather than the new contract award.
