MG has launched the Windsor EV Indulge Edition at ₹17.89 lakh, ex-showroom, introducing a premium variant of the electric SUV. According to reports from Times Drive, the Indulge Edition is based on the top-spec Essence trim and brings exclusive enhancements to the Windsor EV lineup. The edition is available exclusively with the 38kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed range of 332km. A front-mounted electric motor generates 136hp and 200Nm of torque, with no changes to the battery capacity, power output or claimed range as part of the Indulge Edition update.
The Indulge Edition features a new Shadow Gold paint shade with a contrasting black roof, black outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs) and 18-inch black alloy wheels. As reported by Times Drive, the exterior includes Indulge badging on the C-pillar and carries over the LED lighting, body cladding, all-black roof, and blacked-out mirrors from the standard model. Inside, the seats now use Urban Tan and Black cabin upholstery with Indulge embroidery on the front headrests. The cabin includes a new roof-mounted flip-down screen for rear passengers called the Prive Screen, mounted in the middle of the panoramic glass roof to maintain an airy feel. The edition also features Indulge-badged pillows and neck cushions for rear-seat passengers, along with Aero Lounge seats with recline functionality of up to 135 degrees and a 15.6-inch 'GRANDVIEW' touchscreen display.
At ₹17.89 lakh, the Indulge Edition costs ₹73,900 more than the Essence trim, with bookings already open across authorized MG dealerships and the brand's official website. According to Times Drive, MG offers the edition with a curated accessory range including a rear sunshade, themed 3D floor mats, chrome accents for the front grille, bumper corner protectors, body-side moulding, and a leather key cover. The special edition also gets 'Indulge' badges on the rear quarter glass panes and features the same 18-inch black alloy wheels as the standard model. The standard Windsor also offers a larger 52.9kWh battery pack that claims a range of 449km with the same front-wheel-drive motor configuration, making the Indulge Edition's pricing similar to the Exclusive Pro trim.
The Windsor EV Indulge Edition is powered by the 38kWh battery pack with 45kW DC fast charging capabilities, capable of charging from 20-80 percent in 45 minutes. As per Times Drive, the edition maintains the same front-wheel-drive motor configuration as the standard Windsor EV. The vehicle offers 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist (HHA), rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake (EPB), all-wheel disc brakes, rain-sensing wipers, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Standard equipment includes a 9-speaker Infinity sound system, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger, and panoramic glass roof.
The Windsor EV Indulge Edition competes with the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, Maruti e Vitara, Toyota Ebella, Hyundai Creta Electric and the MG ZS EV. As reported by Times Drive, JSW MG Motor India is celebrating the Windsor EV's success as one of the highest-selling EVs in its segment last year. The company has reached over 80,000 families in just 24 months, with the Windsor EV encouraging many fence-sitters to embrace electric mobility. Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India, stated that the Indulge Edition introduces exclusive enhancements and an elevated cabin experience, offering customers a more premium and personalised expression of the Windsor lifestyle.
