According to an exchange filing by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, the company's board of directors will meet on Friday, July 31, 2026, to consider and approve the standalone and consolidated unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. As reported by the company, the meeting will focus on approving the unaudited financial results for the quarter, marking the start of India Inc.'s June quarter earnings season.
According to Zee Business estimates, Maruti Suzuki is likely to report strong double-digit revenue growth for the June quarter. Revenue is estimated to increase 36.9% year-on-year to ₹52,570 crore, compared with ₹38,414 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. EBITDA is expected to rise 28.9% to ₹5,150 crore from ₹3,996 crore a year ago, though EBITDA margin is likely to decline to 9.8% from 10.4%, reflecting pressure from rising commodity and input costs.
The expected revenue growth is likely to be supported by strong vehicle sales performance. Analysts estimate Maruti Suzuki's total volumes to rise 29.3% year-on-year to around 6.82 lakh units during the quarter. Average realisation is also expected to improve by around 3% to ₹7.53 lakh per vehicle, aided by price hikes and a favourable product mix. However, benefits of higher sales and better realisations may be offset by higher raw material costs which would lead to lower operating margins.
In a significant development, Maruti Suzuki has announced price increases of up to ₹30,000 across models effective from August 2026, citing sustained rise in input costs. As reported in a regulatory filing on BSE, the country's largest carmaker stated that the price revision was necessary due to "continuous sustained increase in input costs" and elevated inflationary burdens. While the company has not disclosed model-wise revisions, it confirmed that the exact quantum of the increase will vary from model to model, with efforts made to minimize customer impact. The company has also undertaken several cost-cutting measures in recent months to offset higher expenses. In its latest filing, Maruti Suzuki emphasized that it had been taking measures over the past several months to absorb the impact of rising costs, but with inflationary pressures remaining elevated and the cost environment continuing to be unfavourable, it is constrained to pass on a portion of increased costs to the market while ensuring minimum customer impact.
Shares of Maruti Suzuki closed 0.6% higher at ₹13,597 reversing course from earlier in the day following the price announcement. The automaker's decision reflects broader industry trends, with Reuters reporting that Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles also raised prices twice while Mahindra & Mahindra and Hyundai Motor India have raised once each. Conflict in west Asia has disrupted global trade routes and energy markets, driving up prices of key inputs and pressuring companies to pass on higher costs to customers. Maruti Suzuki's range of vehicles includes sedans, small cars and SUVs such as the entry-level S-Presso to premium utility vehicle Invicto priced between ₹3.5 lakh and ₹28.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
Despite strong revenue growth, net profit is estimated to fall 9.9% year-on-year to ₹3,345 crore, against ₹3,712 crore reported in the year-ago quarter. According to Zee Business estimates, profitability could come under pressure due to higher raw material costs and the need to pass on increased input costs to customers. Investors will be closely tracking management commentary on domestic demand, export growth, price hikes, commodity prices and outlook for the festive season, with any guidance on margin recovery and demand trends in the second half of FY27 being particularly important.
Maruti Suzuki enters the June quarter earnings season after reporting record financial performance for FY26. The company posted its highest-ever consolidated net profit of ₹14,679.5 crore, up 1.24% from ₹14,500.2 crore reported in FY25. Revenue from operations increased to ₹1,83,316 crore from ₹1,52,913 crore a year earlier, while total vehicle sales touched a record 24,22,713 units, compared with 22,34,266 units in FY25.
