Lemon Tree Hotels has announced the opening of its 13th operational property in Gujarat, the Lemon Tree Premier, Vadodara. According to reports from Lemon Tree Hotels, the hotel is managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels. The property features 94 well-appointed rooms and suites along with comprehensive dining, business, recreation and event facilities. The hotel is strategically located near Akota Gardens, offering easy access to commercial districts and key attractions including Laxmi Vilas Palace and Sursagar Lake.
The new property is approximately 10 km from Vadodara Airport, 3.3 km from the railway station, and 3.5 km from the city centre, providing excellent connectivity for business and leisure travellers. As reported by Lemon Tree Hotels, this location strengthens the group's presence in one of Gujarat's key commercial centres. The hotel adds to the group's existing three properties in Vadodara across the Lemon Tree Hotel, Keys Lite, and Keys Select brands, allowing the company to cater to a broader spectrum of corporate, leisure, and social travellers through its multi-brand strategy.
The hotel offers multiple dining options including Citrus Café, a multi-cuisine restaurant, a Tea Lounge and in-room dining services. As reported by Lemon Tree Hotels, the property includes banquet hall, meeting room, and business centre facilities. Additional amenities include a swimming pool, spa and fitness centre, 24x7 front desk, housekeeping and valet parking services. This comprehensive facility portfolio positions the property to serve diverse guest needs effectively.
Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, president of Lemon Tree Hotels, stated that the opening reflects strong demand and long-term commitment to the market. According to Lemon Tree Hotels, the group now operates 13 hotels in Gujarat, with a pipeline of 19 upcoming properties in the state. The addition of the Lemon Tree Premier brand in Vadodara signals a strategic shift toward capturing higher-value segments in established markets, with the new upscale entry allowing the company to address diverse traveller needs without cannibalising existing inventory. This multi-brand density in a single city suggests a focus on market share consolidation rather than purely geographic expansion in this specific region.
Lemon Tree Hotels currently operates over 130 hotels across 80+ cities in India and abroad, with a total pipeline of more than 140 upcoming properties spanning metro hubs like Delhi-NCR and Mumbai to tier II and III cities such as Jaipur and Indore. The group also maintains an international presence in Bhutan and Nepal, demonstrating its aggressive expansion strategy across multiple markets. The company's focus on Gujarat reflects both the strength of demand in the state and its commitment to establishing a strong regional presence through strategic multi-brand positioning.
