Latent View Analytics reported mixed Q1 FY27 results with revenue growing 21.6% year-on-year to ₹286.9 crore while facing margin pressures. Most significantly, net profit declined 6.9% year-on-year to ₹47.1 crore, marking a concerning trend in profitability. As per CNBC-TV18, Chief Financial Officer Rajan Venkatesan attributed the margin contraction to a slowdown in the consumer segment, which shaved around 1.5 percentage points off margins. The company's Financial Services vertical continued to be the standout performer during the quarter, with revenue growing 110% year-on-year, supported by strong client additions and higher spending. The company also demonstrated strong AI adoption, with AI impacting 81% of client engagements and 35% of projects focused on delivering AI-led outcomes. During the quarter, Latent View added seven new logos and highlighted continued investments in AI, data engineering and deepening client relationships as key strategic priorities. Despite the near-term margin pressure, Venkatesan said the company remains confident of achieving its long-term revenue ambitions under the new leadership.
Latent View Analytics' market capitalization stands at approximately ₹6,571.94 crore, underscoring its significant standing within the IT services and consulting sector. Despite the current challenges, the company maintains its $200 million revenue target under the new CEO's leadership. Venkatesan told CNBC-TV18 that "The new CEO has the requisite experience to help us achieve our $200 million revenue target." The company's Current Ratio of 11.35 times and impressive Debt to Equity ratio of 0.00 continue to reflect a strong financial foundation. Shareholders attending tomorrow's AGM will undoubtedly be keen to gain insights into the company's strategic initiatives and future growth prospects amid the current margin pressures.
