Landmark Cars and OLX India, part of CarTrade Tech, have announced a strategic partnership to create an integrated phygital (physical + digital) pre-owned car buying and selling experience for Indian consumers. According to reports from Business Standard, the alliance addresses one of the most persistent pain points in India's pre-owned car market: the trust deficit between digital convenience and physical assurance. As per Business Upturn, the collaboration aims to combine physical and digital experiences to enhance transparency and trust for consumers in the pre-owned car market.
Under the partnership terms, Landmark will integrate its network of over 140 vehicle retail and service touchpoints across 12 states, having served over 500,000 customers since inception with OLX India's online automotive platform. As reported by Business Standard, OLX India's platform serves more than 23 million consumers buying or selling used cars annually, creating a substantial customer base for the integrated service. According to Business Upturn, the alliance will roll out in a phased manner, starting with select key cities before expanding nationwide, contingent on achieving specific performance metrics.
The platform aims to offer customers a single journey spanning online discovery, in-person inspection and test drives, financing, registration transfer, vehicle handover and post-sale servicing and warranty support. According to Business Standard, the partnership will be rolled out in phases, beginning with select key cities and expanding Pan-India upon achieving the requisite performance metrics. As per Business Upturn, by combining digital discovery with trusted offline fulfillment, the collaboration aims to boost consumer confidence at every stage of the transaction.
Under the arrangement, OLX India will lead the end-to-end online customer experience, including customer discovery and digital engagement, while leveraging its proprietary VAYA AI for pricing intelligence, buyer-seller matchmaking, car condition intelligence and market insights. As reported by Business Standard, Landmark outlets will operate as physical Experience Centres for vehicle inspection & handover, with vehicles acquired and sold on a revenue sharing basis and under a co-branded proposition, supported by quality certification and after-sales service offerings. According to Business Upturn, the co-branded proposition will also include quality certification and robust after-sales servicing options.
Aryaman Thakker, Executive Director of Landmark Cars Limited, emphasised the partnership's potential for scale and sustainability, stating that "Our objective is to become a prominent player in the pre-owned car industry by building a differentiated offering while maintaining financial discipline." He added that the partnership is intended to combine OLX India's digital reach with Landmark's physical network, inspection capabilities, financing relationships and after-sales operations. Varun Sanghi, Chairman of OLX India, highlighted the partnership's potential to enhance consumer experience, remarking that "Our vision is to make the buying, selling and transacting of used vehicles simpler and more transparent." As per Business Upturn, the collaboration brings together digital reach with Landmark's customer trust and extensive after-sales capabilities, with the scale of the combined entities highlighting significant consolidation of digital and physical assets in the used car sector.
