The orders span the company's key verticals including Transmission & Distribution (T&D), renewables, transportation, and cables & conductors, reflecting diversified order inflows in both domestic and international markets. According to the company announcement, these wins strengthen KEC's position across its core business segments and demonstrate the company's strong market position in diverse infrastructure verticals.
Within the renewables sector, KEC has secured an order for a 100+ MW wind project in Southern India from a private developer, marking continued expansion in the wind energy space. In the transportation business, the company has bagged two orders in the Automatic Block Signalling (ABS) segment in Southern India, strengthening its position in technology-enabled railway systems. The cables and conductors division has secured multiple orders across India and overseas markets, as reported by CNBC TV18.
In the T&D segment, KEC has won projects across India and the Americas, including ±500 kV HVDC transmission lines from a private developer in Western India, 132 kV cabling works from a steel producer in Eastern India, and supply of towers, hardware and poles in the Americas. According to the company announcement, these wins have particularly strengthened the company's India T&D order book, particularly in the HVDC segment. Managing Director and CEO Vimal Kejriwal noted that the HVDC order has strengthened the company's India T&D order book, while the renewables business has expanded its presence with a repeat order from an existing client.
Shares of KEC International closed at ₹570.25 on the NSE, down 1.59% following the order announcement, with the order details announced after market hours on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The stock has shown mixed performance with a 7.2% surge in the past month but has declined 22% from the beginning of the year.
