
Greenpanel Industries achieved a significant turnaround in Q1 FY27, posting a net profit of ₹1.23 crore compared to a loss of ₹34.62 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26. According to the latest financial results reported by Business Standard, this marks the company's first profitable quarter in recent periods, representing a substantial improvement in operational performance with the operating profit margin improving to 8.54% from -4.82% in the previous year.
The company's top-line performance showed steady growth with revenue rising 6.59% to ₹349.81 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹328.19 crore in the same quarter last year. As reported by Business Standard, this revenue growth demonstrates the company's ability to expand its market presence and maintain pricing power in the wooden panel manufacturing sector, with the profit before depreciation and tax (PBDT) improving to ₹26.92 crore from ₹21.92 crore in the previous year.
The company's operational efficiency showed marked improvement with EBITDA rising to ₹21.3 crore from a loss of ₹47.39 crore in Q1 FY26. According to Business Standard, this significant improvement in Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation indicates better cost management and operational leverage during the quarter, with the profit before tax (PBT) turning positive at ₹2.13 crore compared to a loss in the previous year.
Despite the positive financial results, Greenpanel Industries stock declined 4.63% or ₹9.37 on Friday, closing at ₹192.90 per share. As reported by CNBC TV18, the stock has witnessed a decline of 15.65% over the past six months, significantly below its 52-week high of ₹333.80 per share. However, the stock showed some recovery with recent trading at ₹192.25, touching a day's high of ₹203.2 and low of ₹190. The company's market capitalisation stands at ₹2,357.51 crore with trading volume of 2.07 lakh shares during the session.
