
ITI Limited, the country's first PSU post-independence and premier telecom manufacturing company, has secured a significant work order worth ₹856.39 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for the expansion of 4G Mobile Network in West India. According to latest reports, the scope of work includes Planning, Engineering, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 4G Mobile Network on a turnkey basis for 7613 sites in the West Zone. This contract builds upon ITI's successful execution of the previous Phase IX.2 project worth ₹2640 crore for BSNL West Zone states.
The latest order strengthens ITI Limited's position in India's Atmanirbhar telecom initiative, where BSNL is implementing indigenous 4G telecom equipment to achieve self-reliance in the telecom segment. As reported by ITI Limited, the company along with TCS as a consortium partner had successfully executed the turnkey project for provisioning 4G mobile network under Phase IX.2, covering 23633 sites across West Zone states including Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai LSA. The current expansion order includes saturation sites (DBN funded) for supply, installation and commissioning of 7613 sites.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajesh Rai, Chairman and Managing Director, ITI Limited stated that it is a very proud moment for ITI Limited as their prestigious client BSNL continues to repose great trust in ITI's execution capability. He emphasized that ITI Limited has steadfastly been executing and has proved to be an able ally in the country's Atmanirbhar telecom initiatives. The company is currently executing Bharatnet Phase III projects worth ₹7000 crore for BSNL in Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Andaman & Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur states.
ITI Limited shares were trading at ₹285.65 on BSE compared to the previous close of ₹284.70, with a net turnover of ₹53939548.00. The stock hit an intraday high of ₹302.00 and intraday low of ₹280.55, with 185288 shares traded during the day in over 3121 trades. This performance reflects positive market sentiment following the major contract announcement.
According to Business Standard, Bondada Engineering's consolidated net profit rose 13.3% to ₹62.88 crore in Q4 FY26 as against ₹55.51 crore in Q4 FY25. Revenue from operations jumped 27.9% year on year (YoY) to ₹913.85 crore in Q4 FY26. The stock shed 0.33% to ₹291.10 on the BSE following the announcement.
