As reported by Business Standard, the filing stated that "as part of the company's strategic initiatives to expand and diversify its business operations and drive sustainable growth, the company has decided to enter into the 'Cables' category/ business line under its Lighting Solutions segment, in view of growing demand in the Cables industry." Bajaj Electricals also plans to commence operations in the cables business shortly, with the quantum of investment to be evaluated based on market opportunities, anticipated scale of operations, and business requirements. The company aims to capitalize on the growing demand in the cables industry through this strategic expansion.
The company reported mixed financial results for Q4 FY26, with net loss of ₹68 crore in Q4 FY26 as against a net profit of ₹59 crore in Q4 FY25. According to Business Standard, revenue from operations fell by 2.1% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,240 crore in the March 2026 quarter. This follows his recent departure from the Bajaj Finance board in April, marking another board-level change involving the Bajaj group veteran.
