According to Zee Business estimates, Asian Paints is expected to report robust financial performance for the June quarter (Q1FY27). The company is likely to achieve consolidated revenue of ₹10,157 crore, representing a 13.6% year-on-year growth from ₹8,939 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. EBITDA is estimated to increase 14.6% year-on-year to ₹1,862 crore, compared with ₹1,625 crore in the year-ago period, while EBITDA margin is expected to remain largely stable at 18.3% against 18.2% a year earlier. Consolidated net profit is estimated to rise 14.1% to ₹1,255 crore, compared with ₹1,100 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The company's domestic decorative paints business is expected to remain the key growth driver during the quarter. Analysts estimate domestic decorative paint volumes to grow by around 12%, aided by a weak base and higher channel stocking before the implementation of price increases. Asian Paints is estimated to have taken a price hike of around 7% during the June quarter, which is expected to support revenue growth and partly offset rising input costs. However, higher raw material prices may put some pressure on profitability, with gross margin expected to decline by around 20 basis points on a year-on-year basis due to increased raw material costs, although operating margins are expected to remain broadly stable.
Despite the expected improvement in quarterly earnings, Asian Paints shares were trading at ₹2,639, down ₹13.10 or 0.49%, in afternoon trade on July 14. The stock remains 11.6% or ₹346.70 below its 52-week high of ₹2,985.70, touched on December 4, 2025. The stock has declined 4.05% so far in 2026 and is down 3.89% over the past month. However, it is trading about 24.8% above its 52-week low of ₹2,115, recorded on March 23, 2026, and the company currently has a market capitalisation of ₹2.53 lakh crore.
Asian Paints ended FY26 on a strong note, reporting a 69.2% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹1,185.49 crore in the March quarter, in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations during the quarter rose 10.8% to ₹9,228.46 crore. The company said its domestic decorative business recorded 12.4% volume growth and 10.2% value growth, reflecting an improvement in demand. Its international business also delivered a healthy performance, with sales increasing 11% to ₹888.1 crore, led by strong growth in Sri Lanka, Egypt and the UAE. For the full financial year FY26, Asian Paints reported an 18.5% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹4,394.69 crore, while consolidated revenue rose 5.3% year-on-year to ₹36,307.34 crore.
