Amazon India has announced its 10th Prime Day sale from July 4-6, 2026, running as a 72-hour shopping festival exclusively for Prime members. According to reports from ET Now, the sale will be available through the Amazon mobile app, positioning it as one of the company's biggest shopping events of the year. The e-commerce giant has unveiled the dates for this milestone edition, marking a decade of Prime Day celebrations in India. As highlighted in the official announcement, this year's event is designed as a massive anniversary celebration, with the 72-hour shopping event running from 12:00 AM on July 4th to 12:00 AM on July 6th. The sale officially begins at midnight on July 4th and ends at 11:59 PM on July 6th, ensuring three full days of non-stop deals for Prime members.
The sale will feature offers across multiple categories including smartphones, electronics, home appliances, fashion, beauty products, travel bookings and daily-use essentials. As reported by ET Now, the event will also include several new product launches from both domestic and global brands, providing Prime members with access to exclusive product debuts. Amazon has confirmed that more than 500 new product launches will take place during Amazon Prime Day 2026, with major brands like OnePlus, Xiaomi, Samsung, and Apple expected to offer significant price drops. According to historical data from Mint, electronics and home appliances are your best bets for genuine price drops, with large appliances like washing machines and refrigerators often receiving deep direct discounts. Smart TVs also see sharp price cuts as brands want to clear out older inventory, while clothing and shoes typically have wide discounts but variable quality.
Amazon Prime Day 2026 extends beyond personal shopping to include exclusive business benefits through Amazon Business. As reported by Amazon, business buyers gain access to business-only pricing, bulk discounts, and GST invoices on eligible purchases across more than ten core categories. The platform offers wholesale pricing on over ₹15 crore worth of products and allows businesses to stack Prime Day prices with quantity discounts and claim Input Tax Credit. Amazon Business provides same-day delivery across 99.8% of Indian pin codes and offers GST invoices on every eligible order for audit-ready record keeping. This makes Prime Day a strategic procurement window for businesses, with the headline discounts serving as the foundation for additional savings through bulk purchasing and business-specific pricing tiers.
Ahead of the event, Amazon has rolled out special pricing on Prime membership plans, offering the annual Prime plan at ₹999 for a limited period. According to ET Now, the company is also providing discounted rates on Prime Lite and Prime Shopping Edition memberships, with users currently subscribed to lower-tier plans having the option to upgrade to full Prime membership before the sale begins. During Amazon Prime Day 2026, additional savings will be available for users with select bank cards. SBI and Axis Bank credit card holders can avail an extra 10% discount on purchases, including EMI transactions, while Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card users can earn up to 5% cashback on selected products. The bank discounts typically require a minimum order value of ₹5,000 to trigger, with caps on discount amounts per card to prevent abuse. Users can pay using UPI, credit cards, net banking, or debit cards, with Amazon Pay UPI integration making checkout particularly smooth.
Beyond shopping offers, Prime members will receive access to fresh content on Prime Video, including a mix of Indian and international titles across different genres. As reported by ET Now, Amazon plans to showcase its AI-driven shopping features such as Rufus AI assistant, Lens AI for visual search, AI Review Highlights, Quick View, and smart buying guides, designed to help users discover, compare and evaluate products more efficiently. The company has also introduced Prime Playback, a new AI-powered feature that gives members a personalised recap of how they have used various Amazon services over time. To mark the 10th edition of Prime Day, Amazon has also launched Prime Playback, an AI-powered feature that provides members with a personalised summary of their activity on Amazon services. These features aim to help shoppers compare products easily and make faster purchase decisions without getting overwhelmed by multiple options.
