Adventz Group has announced a significant ₹1,700 crore investment in West Bengal, marking a major expansion into the state's industrial landscape. According to reports from Business Standard, the investment will fund two key projects - a ₹1,200 crore logistics and warehousing park at Sankrail on 100 acres of land already owned by the group, and a ₹500 crore specialized wagon tanker manufacturing plant. The group has strategically partnered with Nymwag of Nymburk, Czech Republic, the third-largest player in Europe's specialized wagon segment, while also exploring export opportunities from India.
As reported by Business Standard, the wagon manufacturing plant is scheduled for commissioning in September-October 2025. Group Chairman Poddar emphasized the strategic advantages of the Sankrail location, stating it is well-connected by rail and highways with ample water and power availability. The group is also developing real estate projects on existing land holdings, including housing, commercial complexes, and shopping malls in both the state and Kolkata, with detailed plans currently being finalized.
According to Business Standard, Adventz is diversifying into new sectors including defence, renewable energy, and artificial intelligence products for enterprises. In defence, the company is exploring protection systems for armouries and autonomous vehicles capable of operating on land and water, with plans to manufacture these products in India to leverage cost advantages. The group is also evaluating renewable energy investments across Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Odisha. Additionally, the company plans to invest ₹4,000-5,000 crore in expanding its fertilizer business through Paradeep Phosphates, including doubling phosphate capacity from 500,000 tonnes to 1 million tonnes.
