Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited is a metal producing company engaged in manufacturing and selling ferroalloys, iron, and steel products, as well as power generation. The company produces long steel products including iron pellets, sponge iron, steel billets, TMT bars, structural products, wire rods, ferro alloys, and aluminum foil. It operates three manufacturing plants, one in Odisha and two in West Bengal, with an aggregate installed metal capacity of 11.60 MTPA and captive power plants with a total capacity of 357 MW. The company has expanded its production capacity, including increasing TMT bar capacity to 1674 KTPA and pellet plant capacity by 1200 KTPA in Sambalpur. Shyam Metalics has undergone several mergers and acquisitions, resulting in changes to its subsidiary structure and shareholding. It has manufacturing facilities in Sambalpur, Jamuria, Mangalpur, and Pakuria.
