
According to reports from CNBC TV18 and Business Standard, Shyam Metalics and Energy reported a 16.44% year-on-year rise in stainless steel sales to 10,920 tonnes in August 2026, up from 9,378 tonnes in August 2025. On a month-on-month basis, stainless steel sales rose 19.36% from 9,149 tonnes in July 2026. Average realisation increased sharply to ₹1,83,032 per tonne in August 2026, representing a significant jump from ₹1,25,786 per tonne a year earlier. As per Business Standard, the company's shares advanced 1.43% to ₹1,081.25 following the strong performance announcement.
As reported by CNBC TV18 and Business Standard, carbon steel flat product volumes more than doubled with sales reaching 29,262 tonnes in August 2026, up 114.14% from 13,665 tonnes a year earlier. Volumes were also 42.81% higher than July's 20,490 tonnes. Average realisation stood at ₹82,395 per tonne, up 13.87% from ₹72,360 a year earlier, though it declined 4.56% month-on-month from ₹86,336 per tonne in July. According to Business Standard, carbon steel sales volume grew 2.76% year-on-year to 1,42,897 tonnes, with average realisation increasing 2.54% to ₹42,679 per tonne.
According to Business Standard, aluminium foil sales volume rose 27.41% to 1,915 tonnes in August 2026 from 1,503 tonnes in August 2025. Average realisation increased 21.17% year-on-year to ₹4,85,471 per tonne during the month. The company noted that its aluminium foil plant at Sambalpur, commissioned in July 2026, has achieved stable operations. Speciality alloys sales volume increased 27.97% year-on-year to 19,002 tonnes from 14,849 tonnes, with volumes rising 9.16% from July. Average realisation for speciality alloys climbed 23.44% year-on-year to ₹1,11,788 per tonne. Metallics sales volume stood at 3,34,957 tonnes in August 2026, registering a 27.97% year-on-year increase, with average realisation rising 8.73% year-on-year to ₹20,039 per tonne.
As reported by CNBC TV18, Shyam Metalics's revenue for the quarter rose 23% year-on-year to ₹5,455 crore compared with ₹4,423 crore in the same quarter last year. Net profit increased 18% year-on-year to ₹345 crore from ₹282 crore in the corresponding quarter. EBITDA rose 32% to ₹765 crore from ₹580 crore a year earlier, while the EBITDA margin expanded to 14% from 13.1%. According to Business Standard, the company reported a 20.66% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹350.73 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with ₹290.67 crore in Q1 FY26. The company also declared a final dividend of ₹2.70 per share and an interim dividend of ₹1.80 per share.

The company's stock jumped as much as 1.78% in Monday's trade to hit a high of ₹1,085 on BSE over its previous close of ₹1,066.05, with the stock opening at ₹1,057.05. However, as per latest trading data, shares were last trading at ₹1,066.05 on BSE compared to the previous close of ₹1,081.75, with a total turnover of ₹169.57 lakh during the day. The newly commissioned 0.018 million tonnes per annum aluminium foil plant at Sambalpur achieved stable operations after entering service in July 2026, which has since achieved stable operations and is progressing well.
