Runable, an artificial intelligence agent platform for small businesses, has successfully raised $21 million in a Series A funding round. According to reports from Business Standard, the round was co-led by Susquehanna Venture Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, with continued participation from existing investors Together Fund and Array VC. The company plans to use the funds to expand growth channels, enhance its free Runable Academy, and hire across engineering, machine learning, product, growth and support teams. The all-equity, primary funding valued Runable at $65 million after investment, as confirmed by co-founder and CEO Umesh Kumar.
The AI agent platform has demonstrated remarkable growth since its launch, achieving 1.7 million registered users and generating $2 million in annualised revenue within three weeks of launching payments in March. As reported by Business Standard, the company currently serves these users with a team of 15 people. Co-founder and CEO Umesh Kumar emphasized that while software creation has become automated, everything after it hasn't, stating that Runable addresses this gap by building, running and growing businesses end-to-end. "Building software stopped being the hard part," Kumar said, noting that nobody starts a business because they want a landing page - they start it because they want customers and revenue.
According to the latest reports, Runable functions as a comprehensive business platform that builds, runs and grows companies from start to finish. The platform creates and launches products including websites, mobile apps, pitch decks, market analyses, prospect lists and marketing videos, with databases, authentication, payments and deployment included. The startup reports that 60%-70% of its 1 trillion-plus token usage in the last 90 days came from paying customers, demonstrating strong monetization potential. Once live, it manages daily business operations and growth through paid campaigns across multiple platforms including ChatGPT Ads, Meta, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok, while also handling customer support and tracking competitors and brand sentiment. The platform shares the same context and memory across every task, building and shipping real products on real infrastructure.
As reported by Business Standard, Runable's 1.7 million registered users are primarily small-business owners operating in two-person teams across agencies, consultancies, cleaning companies and other businesses in the US, UK, Japan and Brazil. Investor Jishnu Bhattacharjee from Nexus Venture Partners noted that most AI tools stop at output while businesses need outcomes, emphasizing that Runable's general-purpose autonomous AI agent automates not just software creation but builds, runs and grows businesses. Co-founder Shubham Gupta from Together Fund highlighted that 95% of AI value creation revolves around customers, revenues and operations, which Runable specifically powers. The round comes after a launch that took Runable from $0 to $2 million ARR in three weeks, positioning the Bengaluru-based startup to compete in an increasingly crowded market that includes AI giants such as Anthropic and OpenAI and coding platforms including Cursor, Lovable, and Replit.
