AI coding startup Lovable has surpassed a $600 million annualised revenue run rate, marking another sharp step up in growth for the vibe-coding platform as it expands its enterprise business. Co-founder Fabian Hedin disclosed the figure at the HumanX summit in Amsterdam on Thursday, September 24, 2026. The latest run rate represents a significant increase from around $500 million in June, highlighting the rapid growth trajectory of the platform. According to CoinDesk, Hedin stated that the growth continues as the company focuses on expanding its enterprise business. The company's annualized revenue has grown dramatically from approximately $200 million a year earlier, demonstrating exceptional scaling in the AI programming tools market. However, it's important to note that these figures represent annualized revenue rates - snapshots of sales velocity rather than completed yearly revenue, and they do not establish precise dollar increases between periods.
According to TechCrunch, Lovable has increasingly focused on businesses beyond individual developers and startups. Hedin revealed that the company is now used by around two-thirds of Fortune 500 companies, with Microsoft, Nvidia and Deutsche Telekom among its customers. The platform addresses growing security concerns as AI adoption expands across enterprises. As Hedin explained, "Security teams sometimes worry about all the new code, 'rightfully so.'" The company works with CIOs on access controls, data permissions, and editor privileges since editors indirectly gain access to sensitive data. Lovable creates more than a million projects a week, too many to review by hand, so it uses AI to scan all projects and keeps scanning after users stop building. The platform fixes critical flaws in dependencies and proposes fixes for the rest, with the tool being free for all users and the first in its category.
The platform is experiencing substantial user engagement beyond the core Lovable application. Hedin reported that applications created by users collectively receive nearly one billion visits each month, representing an order of magnitude more activity than the Lovable platform itself. This massive user engagement demonstrates the widespread adoption and utility of applications built on the Lovable platform, with the volume of traffic significantly exceeding that of Lovable's own platform. According to TechCrunch, 80% of the ideas users bring to Lovable are about creating a business, indicating the platform's growing role in enterprise application development. The company provides comprehensive development solutions including hosting, deployment and application scaling, with Lovable Cloud now adding payments, email, SEO and ads functionality. Hedin gave the example of Rafael, a Brazilian founder who built an AI education platform on Lovable, with his 50 employees using Lovable for all internal processes and the company on track for about $20 million in annual recurring revenue this year.
According to TechCrunch, Hedin explained that Lovable's positioning goes beyond AI coding assistants, noting that tools such as Codex and Claude Code primarily generate software code, while Lovable aims to produce a working product and increasingly an entire business around it. The platform handles areas including hosting, deployment and application scaling, extending beyond simple code generation to provide comprehensive development solutions. As reported by CoinDesk, Hedin noted that Lovable differs from some code generation tools in that its goal is not just to output code, but to directly help users generate runnable products. Lovable distinguishes itself by routing requests across more than 100 underlying AI models automatically based on cost and quality, rather than allowing users to select models directly, providing a more sophisticated and efficient approach to AI-powered development. Hedin emphasized that "You can use these tools [like Codex or Claude code] to output code. The difference is that Lovable does not output code. The output is a product, and increasingly, so, a business." The company has never offered users a model picker, instead using AI to optimize across multiple models for each task.
The startup's rapid growth has been accompanied by a major increase in its valuation. Lovable has raised more than $700 million across two funding rounds within eight months. In December, the company raised $300 million from Menlo Ventures and CapitalG at a $6.6 billion valuation. The company then secured another $400 million in August 2026 from Menlo Ventures and the Scaleup Europe Fund, lifting its valuation to $13.3 billion. According to CoinDesk, this represents a doubling of the company's valuation from the previous round, as AI programming tools accelerate their adoption in enterprise settings and competition in this space continues to intensify. These figures were shared by co-founder Fabian Hedin at the conference and are not audited. The company's rapid funding growth reflects its strong market position and the increasing demand for enterprise-grade AI development tools.
