IPO-bound Prism, the parent entity of Oyo, announced the expansion of its premium portfolio in the United Kingdom with the addition of 40 hotels under its Sunday Hotels and Belvilla brands. According to reports from Rediff Moneynews and The Economic Times, the UK expansion aims to strengthen Prism's global premium footprint across the West Asia, Europe, and the United States. The newly added portfolio spans a mix of heritage hotels and strategically located properties across major cities and regional destinations in the UK. The expansion comes as IPO-bound Prism, the parent entity of Oyo, sharpens its focus on building a global premium hospitality business beyond its core budget accommodation segment while preparing for a public listing and seeking to diversify revenue beyond economy hotels.
Prism operates its premium portfolio directly, unlike its budget lodging business, which follows a franchise model. As reported by Rediff Moneynews and The Economic Times, these properties have been secured through leasehold or long-term management arrangements and will undergo phased refurbishments to align with Sunday Hotels' design and service standards. Unlike Oyo's asset-light budget accommodation business, which largely operates on a franchise model, PRISM directly manages its premium portfolio through leasehold and long-term management agreements. The move is aimed at expanding PRISM's premium footprint across Europe, the Middle East and the United States while repositioning legacy assets into higher-end hospitality offerings.
Sunday Hotels has expanded rapidly, establishing 16 properties across England and Wales over the past two years. According to Rediff Moneynews and The Economic Times, these include Bristol Grand Hotel by Sunday, The Lansbury Heritage in London, Exeter Rougemont Hotel by Sunday, Holland House Hotel in Cardiff, Sunday London Staines upon Thames, Winchester Wessex Hotel, and Atlantic Tower Hotel. The properties are strategically located in business and leisure destinations, offering a mix of large-format hotels catering to meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) tourism, alongside boutique heritage stays. The company said the expansion is part of PRISM's strategy to transform legacy properties into premium, experience-driven offerings while building a strong and scalable presence in the UK's premium hospitality market.
The Belvilla portfolio comprises 24 boutique hotels across the United Kingdom, including Carlton Hotel in Bournemouth, Peckham Rooms Hotel in London, Church Street Hotel in London, and Airport Stanley Hotel in Manchester, among others. As reported by Rediff Moneynews and The Economic Times, these properties, powered by Prism's India-built technology platform, are strategically located in business and leisure destinations, offering a mix of large-format hotels catering to MICE tourism alongside boutique heritage stays. In Europe, Prism also operates other full-service hospitality brands including CheckMyGuest, DanCenter, and Traum-Ferienwohnungen.
Puneet Yadav, Country Head, UK, Prism, stated that the company's UK expansion is closely aligned with the growing India-UK tourism corridor. According to Rediff Moneynews and The Economic Times, the expansion represents Prism's commitment to building a strong and scalable presence in the UK's premium hospitality market while leveraging its India-built technology platform to enhance guest experiences across its growing portfolio of premium properties. The company said the expansion is part of PRISM's strategy to transform legacy properties into premium, experience-driven offerings while building a strong and scalable presence in the UK's premium hospitality market.
