Mumbai-based Nexedge Capital, a wealth-management and multi-family office firm led by former 360 ONE executive Anirudha Taparia, has successfully raised $20 million in its maiden funding round. According to reports from Business Standard, the investment round was led by Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Elev8 Venture Partners. The funding values Nexedge Capital at approximately $250 million, as confirmed by Taparia in his interview with Mint. Taparia emphasized that this represents a rare opportunity to build India's first true net-worth management firm, managing the entirety of a family's balance sheet rather than only its investible surplus.
As reported by Business Standard, Nexedge plans to utilize the fresh capital to strengthen its technology platform, expand its senior banker network, and extend its footprint across India, including tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The company currently operates in 11-12 cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune. Taparia announced plans to add 10 new locations such as Indore, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, and other markets by the end of this year. The firm also plans to build out complementary offerings including a dedicated NRI proposition and a non-bank lending business, while expanding its office network, growing its workforce, and strengthening its technology infrastructure to offer conflict-free net-worth advisory to more wealthy families.
According to Business Standard reports, Taparia is joined by co-founders Sidhartha Shaw, Vijeeta Sharma, and Pankaj Walia and a cohort of 15 founding partners averaging 20+ years of experience across Citibank, Kotak Wealth, 360 One, and Standard Chartered. In his previous role, Taparia served as co-founder and joint CEO of 360 ONE Wealth and helped build the platform from inception into a multi-trillion-rupee, publicly-listed franchise. Launched in February 2025, Nexedge has scaled to more than $3 billion in assets under management within 18 months across over 1,300 clients. The firm has onboarded more than 95 senior bankers with another 50-60 expected to join in 2026.
As reported by Business Standard, Mirae Asset's CEO Puneet Kumar highlighted the company's ownership model as a key factor in their investment decision. Kumar noted that over 150 senior leaders have invested their own capital to become owners, not just employees, creating structural incentives tied to client outcomes rather than growth targets alone. Kumar emphasized that when advisors have their own capital at stake, incentives are structurally tied to client outcomes, not growth targets alone, giving conviction that Nexedge is where a disproportionate share of India's next wealth story will be built. Elev8's managing partner Navin Honagudi emphasized that India's HNI and UHNI wealth pool is at the start of a multi-decade compounding cycle, with Nexedge standing out for its structural clarity, depth of founding team, and ability to build client trust at a pace few platforms in this space have matched.
According to Business Standard reports, Nexedge services HNIs, UHNIs, families and corporates by offering an end-to-end ecosystem that connects financial investments and portfolio management, curated and customized to financial goals, alongside estate planning and global mobility. The firm has onboarded more than 95 senior bankers with another 50-60 expected to join in 2026. Elev8's Honagudi noted their focus on two broad themes in financial services—financial infrastructure and insurance, with recent investments in Smallcase and Dovetail in the financial infrastructure segment, and active exploration of insurance sector opportunities. The company is also building out complementary offerings including a dedicated NRI proposition and a non-bank lending business.
