Coffee equipment and services provider Kaapi Machines has successfully raised ₹50 crore in an equity round from Sedna HoReCa, a business-to-business HoReCa (hotel, restaurant and café/catering) solutions provider. According to reports from Business Standard, this marked the company's first external fundraise and represents a significant milestone as until now, Kaapi Machines had grown through promoter-led investments only.
The company plans to utilize the raised funds to expand its product portfolio, strengthen manufacturing capabilities, and improve its technology stack, warehousing and service infrastructure. As reported by Business Standard, Kaapi Machines serves clients including large café chains, hotels, retailers, corporates and coffee vending businesses, with notable clients such as Starbucks, Blue Tokai, McDonald's, Araku, Subko, Burger King and Boojee, along with specialty coffee chains and emerging companies like NBC & AB Coffee.
Kaapi Machines aims to exceed ₹150 crore in revenue during the current financial year 2026-27. According to reports from Business Standard, the company operates in the B2B HoReCa segment and works with established hospitality brands including ITC Hotels and Oberoi. The company began exploring collaborations with global brands around two years ago to manufacture in India, with some partnerships now maturing and resulting in local assembly of international products.
Abhinav Mathur, managing director and CEO of Kaapi Machines, emphasized the company's evolution from importing international coffee equipment during India's transition to cafe culture to its current focus on manufacturing collaborations. As reported by Business Standard, Mathur stated the company plans to remain focused on the B2B HoReCa segment while investing further in manufacturing, localisation and product innovation. Saurabh Pandey, managing director of Sedna HoReCa, described the partnership as highly synergistic given Kaapi Machines' domain expertise and pan-India service network.
