Dehradun-based startup The Next Door AI Pvt Ltd has launched Supersei, an AI-powered customer relationship management tool designed to address the challenges of modern sales teams. According to reports from Business Standard, co-founders Mrinal Anand and Kundan Kumar developed the platform after spending a decade in sales and growth, including building their own B2C business. The founders realized that traditional CRM systems, while effective at organizing customer information, failed to provide the automated action capabilities needed for modern businesses.
As reported by Business Standard, Supersei features Sei, an AI sales representative that responds within seconds, qualifies prospects, follows up, books meetings, and shares payment links. The platform integrates with multiple channels including websites, Meta Ads, Google Ads, WhatsApp, inbound calls, and other communication tools. It connects with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Meet, Razorpay, Stripe, and familiar communication tools to bring all enquiries into a single workflow. The founders emphasize that the platform is designed to make existing processes faster and more reliable rather than forcing businesses to rebuild operations.
According to Business Standard, an early deployment of Supersei demonstrated significant improvements for an AI job-tech business processing approximately 5,000 monthly leads with 20 sales agents. The platform reduced average first-response time from six hours to under a minute within one quarter. Conversion rates increased from 5% to 20%, while nearly 90% of follow-ups were automated. Conversations handled per agent increased from 30 to 100 daily without additional headcount, and return on ad spend climbed from 3x to 7.5x while cost per lead dropped from ₹50 to ₹17.
As reported by Business Standard, Kumar and Anand position Supersei not as another CRM but as an AI growth engine. The founders spent years using CRM after CRM, with Kumar stating that "in a market where people buy at 11pm on WhatsApp, waiting is how you lose." They built the software to remove repetitive work that prevents teams from performing at their best, with the goal of enabling human teams to concentrate on conversations requiring empathy, trust, and judgement while Sei handles repetitive steps that slow a business down.
According to Business Standard, Anand views the results as evidence of a wider shift in how businesses approach software. "In India, most sales happen on WhatsApp, and most leads are funded by advertising. When a business takes six hours to respond, that money is already gone," Anand stated. The founders believe AI is redefining what companies should expect from software, moving from systems that organize information to platforms that take action, automate routine work, and contribute directly to growth. The platform was born from their own struggle to scale their business and has been transformed into a product for businesses ready to scale responsibly.
