The agreement was officially registered in June 2026 on the Inspector General of Registration Maharashtra website.
The residential unit is located in Artesia, Worli and spans 360 square metres (approximately 3,875 square feet). As reported by Square Yards, the lease includes four car parking spaces and was registered with a stamp duty of ₹1.84 lakh, registration charges of ₹1,000, and a security deposit of ₹74 lakh. The official registration was completed in June 2026.
The lease agreement follows a tiered pricing structure with annual increases. According to the registration documents, the first year's rent is ₹18.50 lakh per month, followed by an increase of approximately 7% to ₹19.79 lakh in the second year. The third year sees another 7% increase to ₹21.18 lakh per month. The lease is valid for 36 months with the rental rates increasing systematically throughout the term, featuring a built-in annual escalation clause.
Worli ranks among Mumbai's most prestigious residential addresses, offering luxury waterfront developments, sea-facing residences, and seamless connectivity via the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Eastern Freeway, and major arterial roads linking to Bandra Kurla Complex, Nariman Point, Lower Parel, and Fort. The area is home to prominent commercial establishments, luxury hotels, fine-dining destinations, and recreational landmarks, consistently commanding among the highest residential rental values in the city. The locality draws business leaders, senior professionals, entrepreneurs, and celebrities, placing Iyer's choice of address firmly within the tier occupied by Mumbai's most prominent residents.
Iyer has established himself as one of India's leading middle-order batters and has achieved significant international success. He was recently named as the new India T20 International captain following Suryakumar Yadav's removal from the role. According to reports, he was part of India's run to the 2023 ODI World Cup final and was a key member as India won the ICC 2025 Champions Trophy. On the domestic front, he led Kolkata Knight Riders to the IPL crown in 2024 and took Punjab Kings to the final the following year, known for his stroke play, composure under pressure, and leadership capabilities across domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League.
