Bhumika Realty has secured a significant 24,000 sq ft lease with fashion brand Lifestyle at its under-construction project in Faridabad. According to reports from The Economic Times, the Dubai-based Lifestyle, part of the Landmark Group, will open an anchor store at the mixed-use project 'The Icon'. This deal represents a major milestone for the company's new development and demonstrates the growing interest of prominent brands in organized retail within Faridabad. Uddhav Poddar, CMD of Bhumika Group, stated that Faridabad is evolving into an important consumption and retail market within the NCR, with consumers increasingly looking for leading brands and quality experiences closer to home. Bringing Lifestyle to The Icon is an important addition to our retail mix and reinforces our vision of creating a destination that combines leading retail, entertainment and hospitality. Along with PVR INOX, Lifestyle further strengthens the brand ecosystem we are building at The Icon.
The mixed-use project 'The Icon' will feature a 25,000 sq ft multi-screen multiplex by PVR INOX alongside the Lifestyle store. As reported by The Economic Times, Bhumika Realty raised ₹170 crore earlier this year from a real estate credit platform of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC and BGO to fund this mixed-use project in Faridabad. The construction of the project commenced in March, positioning it as a significant addition to the city's retail landscape. The project is planned as a mixed-use development integrating premium retail spaces, entertainment options, hospitality offerings, and residential units within a single destination. The new store will span the ground and first floors of the project and is expected to bring one of India's leading fashion and lifestyle retail destinations to consumers in the city.
Uddhav Poddar, CMD of Bhumika Group, stated that Faridabad is evolving into an important consumption and retail market within the NCR, with consumers increasingly looking for leading brands and quality experiences closer to home. According to The Economic Times, Shriram PM Monga, Co-Founder and Principal of retail consultancy firm SRED Global, noted that Faridabad is emerging as an important retail market within the wider NCR, driven by improving connectivity, rising consumer aspirations and growing demand for quality retail spaces. The move comes as pet ownership in India continues to grow, with consumers increasingly seeking integrated solutions for nutrition, grooming, training, wellness, and healthcare needs. The concept reflects a broader shift in urban fitness, where consumers are increasingly looking for destinations that combine sporting activity with wellness and social interaction.
Bhumika Realty is the real estate arm of Bhumika Group, with a portfolio spanning retail, commercial, hospitality and residential developments. As reported by The Economic Times, the leasing of 24,000 sq ft by Lifestyle is a reflection of the increasing interest of established brands in the city's organized retail market, setting the stage for further growth in Faridabad's retail sector. The appointment comes as the fitness, sportswear, activewear, and wellness market in India continues to grow, driven by increasing consumer interest in health, fitness equipment, sports accessories, and performance-focused lifestyle products. The partnership is expected to help both companies tap into increasing demand for children's sports products, activewear and fitness gear while expanding their reach among families across the country. The latest data underscores the continued growth of India's quick commerce sector, where digital-first consumers, festive shopping trends, and demand for faster deliveries are driving higher order volumes across gifting, fashion, jewellery, consumer electronics, and lifestyle categories.
