
Several flexi cap mutual funds made significant portfolio changes during June 2026, according to portfolio disclosures from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi). ICICI Prudential Flexi Cap Fund, SBI Flexicap Fund, Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund, and HDFC Flexi Cap Fund all altered their holdings throughout the month. These portfolio changes reflect fund managers' investment decisions based on valuations, earnings outlook, and sector preferences.
Abakkus Flexicap Fund, the ₹5,301-crore fund launched in December 2025, made strategic exits from Vedanta group holdings following the conglomerate's demerger. The fund exited Vedanta (14.5 lakh shares), Malco Energy (14.5 lakh shares), Vedanta Iron & Steel (14.5 lakh shares), and Fractal Analytics (1.7 lakh shares) during June. Despite these exits, the fund increased exposure to Vedanta Aluminium, purchasing 9.5 lakh shares during the month. The conglomerate's four demerged entities - Vedanta Aluminium Metal Ltd, Vedanta Oil & Gas Ltd, Vedanta Power Ltd and Vedanta Iron & Steel Ltd - debuted on stock exchanges on June 15. The fund ended June with 45 stocks in its portfolio, while the ₹1,494-crore Abakkus Small Cap Fund held 61 stocks.
ICICI Prudential Flexi Cap Fund made three fresh additions: Lenskart Solutions, Sedemac Mechatronics, and PB Fintech. The fund exited Zydus Lifesciences during the month. SBI Flexicap Fund added three stocks: Coforge, JSW Infrastructure, and FSN E-Commerce Ventures (Nykaa). The fund made significant exits, including Vedanta, Asian Paints, NTPC, Sheela Foam, Jubilant FoodWorks, Aavas Financiers, Vedanta Power, and Vedanta Iron and Steel.
The Abakkus Small Cap Fund initiated fresh positions in Saregama India (4.5 lakh shares) and Kewal Kiran Clothing (1.4 lakh shares) during June. Saregama India accounted for 1.5 percent of the portfolio, while Kewal Kiran Clothing made up 0.5 percent. The fund also exited Vedanta, Malco Energy and Vedanta Iron & Steel, selling 1.5 lakh shares each of these entities. The Small Cap Fund had 88.8 percent of its assets invested in equities at the end of June.
Despite the portfolio changes, equity-oriented mutual fund schemes witnessed a net inflow of ₹28,973 crore in June 2026, representing a sharp surge of 26% from the preceding month, according to Amfi data. Within the equity category, midcap funds garnered ₹6,090 crore - the highest inflow during the month, followed by small cap funds at ₹5,602 crore and flexi cap funds at ₹5,231 crore. Large cap funds received an inflow of ₹2,067 crore amid volatile market conditions.
