According to reports from Business Standard, the organisation will conduct around 20 workshops across 10-12 cities to train 10,000 MF distributors on ethics, compliance and prevention of misselling. The training programme has been expanded under the AMFI-NISM partnership to cover ethics, compliance, fiduciary responsibility, mis-selling, churning, data privacy and succession. In partnership with Sa-Dhan, AMFI said it will hold 500 investor awareness programmes across five states, reaching 25,000 people and creating a network of 100 Nivesh Sakhis. As reported by Business Standard, the initiative aims to expand financial literacy and accessibility in underserved markets. The AMFI-Sa-Dhan initiative was formalised in the presence of Kiran Kumar, Treasurer and Director, Sa-Dhan. According to Business Standard, these targeted approaches are designed to reach specific demographic segments that have traditionally been underserved in the mutual fund industry. The partnership with Pinkathon, led by Milind Soman, will promote women's financial awareness across these expanded geographies.
