
Rays of Belief shares made their stock market debut on Tuesday, September 8, listing flat at ₹239 on both BSE and NSE, exactly in line with the IPO issue price. According to reports from Business Standard, ET Now, and The Hindu BusinessLine, the allotment of the IPO was finalised on 4 September, following the bidding period from September 1 to September 3, 2026. The company has been positioned as a for-profit social enterprise offering personalised intervention programmes for children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Rays of Belief shares are currently trading at ₹229 on BSE, representing a discount of 4.18% compared to the issue price of ₹239. As per The Hindu BusinessLine, the stock hit a high of ₹239 and a low of ₹229 during early trading. On the BSE, over 0.55 lakh shares of the company were traded in the counter so far. Despite the strong subscription numbers, the shares made a flat debut, listing at ₹239 - significantly below the ₹15 grey market premium that had been indicated ahead of listing. The company's market valuation stood at ₹476.77 crore at the listing price.
The IPO received an overwhelming response with overall subscription reaching 107.71 times. As reported by Business Standard, ET Now, and The Hindu BusinessLine, the retail portion was subscribed 195.87 times, while the Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) category saw 279.11 times subscription. The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) segment was subscribed 9.06 times. The IPO received bids for 33,79,79,918 shares against 31,37,810 shares on offer, as per details available with the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The issue was subscribed 3.63 times on the second day of bidding after being fully subscribed on the opening day.
The Rays of Belief IPO comprises a fresh issue of up to 52.30 lakh equity shares, with an anchor investor portion of 20,92,190 shares. According to Business Standard, ET Now, and The Hindu BusinessLine, the price band was fixed at ₹227-239 per share with a face value of ₹10. The price band was set at ₹227-239 per share, with the issue comprising 52.30 lakh equity shares, aggregating to ₹125 crore at the upper end of the price band. The company fixed the final issue price at ₹239 per share, while the IPO lot size was set at 62 shares. For retail investors, the minimum investment required was ₹14,818 for one lot of 62 shares. Prior to the IPO, the company raised ₹50 crore from anchor investors through the anchor bidding process on August 31, 2026, with the anchor allocation completed on 31 August 2026.
As reported by Business Standard, ET Now, and The Hindu BusinessLine, Rays of Belief intends to deploy a significant portion of the IPO proceeds towards its expansion plans, which include setting up 319 new centres between FY27 and FY29. Of the proposed allocation of ₹76.15 crore, the company plans to use ₹41.36 crore for setting up company learning centres and centres in partnership with licensed professionals, ₹14.45 crore for lease payments for existing centres, ₹10.13 crore for lease/licence payments for its US subsidiary, and ₹10.20 crore for brand awareness and outreach programmes. Additionally, ₹10.20 crore is earmarked for inorganic growth through acquisitions and strategic partnerships, with a portion allocated for funding international expansion into the UAE and UK markets. The funds will also be used for capital expenditure requirements, including centre fit-outs, therapy-material inventory and technology hardware.
Rays of Belief reported strong financial performance with FY26 consolidated revenue rising 12% to ₹81.66 crore, as reported by Business Standard. However, profitability remained under pressure with profit after tax declining 25% to ₹4.96 crore, partly due to higher tax expenses. Operating profit increased 220% to ₹11.91 crore as operating margin improved to 14.59% from 5.09% on a pro forma basis. The company, founded in 2017, operates under its Mom's Belief brand and has expanded from 71 centres in FY23 to 136 centres across 57 cities and 20 states/UTs as of March 31, 2026, with 340+ full-time clinical professionals. At the listing price of ₹239, Rays of Belief's market capitalisation stood at around ₹499.55 crore.
